Description
I was born and raised in Safed, and from a young age I was drawn to the atmosphere of the old city – the stone alleys, the turquoise rooftops, and the quiet presence that fills the air.
The Abuhav Synagogue, built in the 16th century, always stood out to me. With its three Torah arks, raised bimah, and painted ceiling, it holds both beauty and a deep sense of history.
I painted this work to reflect the feeling of stepping into that space – a place where time slows down, and spirit fills the room.
